2017 American Wilderness Leadership School

Safari Club International Badgerland Chapter is proud to announce that it is now seeking applications to attend the American Wilderness Leadership School (AWLS), in Jackson, Wyoming.
The school offers 5 teacher sessions and 1 student session for ages 16-18. A registration fee of $900 covers meals, lodging and round-trip transportation to and from the Jackson, WY Airport.
The SCI Badgerland Chapter will pay the full tuition including room, board and associated fees.
In 1976, Safari Club International, in an effort to promote conservation as a way of life, began the American Wilderness Leadership School. The mission of the school is to offer a national / international outdoor instructional program that concentrates on natural resource management and provides the participant a base of knowledge to better comprehend and evaluate the conservation issues of today and of the future.
SCIF has provided over $3,000,000 towards Conservation Education and provided 5,175 teachers with a conservation message reaching over 1.5 million students per year. In addition, SCIF has provided over $9,300,000 in educational facilities to promote the wise use of Natural Resources.
Scholarship applications require a 500 word essay. Essay and application forms are due before April 1st. Successful applicants will be notified before May 15th. Please comment on what impact you will have on your students or staff with this program. We are a non-profit organization run by volunteers, so with the limited funds we have, we are trying to reach as many students as possible.
